BRANZ, through research programmes, has developed an in-depth understanding of the way moisture interacts with buildings. The source of moisture can be from the construction stage and as a building dries out. It can also be generated by the activities of people in the building or it can enter as wind-driven rain or leakage. BRANZ staff have extensive experience in dealing with all of these situations, through on-site investigations, laboratory testing and evaluation and computer modelling. They have extensive expertise in onsite detailing and laboratory testing for weathertightness.
