BRANZ has recently commissioned a new plumbing test facility, which adds another service to those we offer the New Zealand and Australian building industry. The lab is unique in New Zealand and has the capability to complete a wide range of testing procedures on plumbing products such as; sanitary fixtures, tapware, valves, pipes, fittings, air admittance valves and traps. Testing can be carried out to Australian, New Zealand and international standards depending on customer requirements. The test facility at BRANZ is recognised by Quality Assurance Services (QAS) over a wide range of tests for plumbing and related products.
Manufacturers and importers looking to gain Australian WaterMark or StandardsMark certification can commission BRANZ to undertake the testing necessary to gain approval.

- Various pipework and fittings - AS 4176
- Air admittance valves and traps - EN 12380.2:2001 / AS 4936

- Water closet suites - AS1172.1 /1172.2
Testing services available include:
- Flow capability
- Hydrostatic pressure testing (watertightness/strength tests)
- Endurance testing to 85°C (valves, tapware, AAV's)
- Thermal cycling from 15°C to 95°C
